Asian Rhinoplasty San Diego
Case #1.
This patient did not like the shape or proportion of her nose. She felt like the bridge was too small on profile view. She was concerned that the tip of her nose was over rotated and created too much nostril show.
Dr. Kolstad used rib cartilage to add height to the bridge of her nose and restructure her nasal tip. The nose was rotated downwards creating a more natural contour and nostril balance.

Case #21.
The patient felt that her nose was too wide and without definition. During her rhinoplasty consultation multiple methods and techniques were discussed to achieve her goals. She decided to pursue an implant to increase the height of the bridge of her nose. The nasal tip was reshaped using cartilage from her septum. The nostrils and alar base were made less wide.

The patient did not like the bridge and tip of her nose. She requested that the bridge be made higher and more narrow. The tip of her nose was reshaped, narrowed and made higher by using cartilage from her septum.

Case #52.
For many Asians face lift surgery required special attention to the cheeks, midface and nasolabial folds. This patient complained of deflating and loss of cheek volume. Dr. Kolstad lifted her jowls and loose neck skin with a full lower face and neck lift. During the procedure facial fat grafting was performed to add volume to her cheeks and midface restoring their youthful appearance.

Case #53.
Loss of volume in the cheeks and around the eyes can create a deflated, aged appearance. Pulling the skin tighter and tighter is not always a good option. This patient was concerned with sagging skin of the upper eyelids and cheeks. Dr. Kolstad performed a full face fat transfer to tighten the skin and restore a youthful appearance.

This patient felt like his eyes looked heavy and wanted a more visible eyelid. He noticed bulging of the lower eyelid fat and always had dark circles around his eyes. He was concerned with creating an unnatural appearance after eyelid surgery. He was treated with an eyelid crease creating upper eyelid surgery and Dr. Kolstad’s scarless lower eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty).

Case #65.
This patient was concerned with tired looking eyes. She noticed bulging of the lower eyelid fat and always had dark circles around her eyes. She was concerned with creating an unnatural appearance after eyelid surgery. She was treated with a lower eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) to remove a conservative amount of lower eyelid fat and to tighten the loose eyelid skin.
Chin Augmentation
Case #58.
Many patients have small chins due to lack of mandibular development. A recessed chin can make the cheeks look too wide creating a rounded appearance. This patient was treated with an implant to augment the chin creating a beautiful jawline. The cheeks were brought in to balance and the lower third of the face was made more proportionate.

This patient was treated with an implant to augment the chin and prejowl area. This special type of implant added volume to the jowls making the face look like she was treated with a facelift. Liposuction was performed at the time of the chin implant to improve the chin fat pad and submental fat.
