RHINOPLASTY  FOR NOSTRIL DROOP

Case #31.

A drooping columella can cause the nose to appear too heavy from the front view and too long from the side view. This San Diego rhinoplasty patient requested to have her hanging columella reshaped in addition to refining her wide nasal bridge and tip. Her main goal for rhinoplasty was to make her nose less prominent and bring it into balance with the rest of her face.

Dr. Kolstad is one of San Diego’s best rhinoplasty surgeons and he has extensive expertise and experience with drooping columella surgery. He used an open rhinoplasty approach to carefully reposition and reshape this patient’s columella to create a more feminine nasal tip contour. He also sculpted the patient’s bridge and nasal tip to improve the overall shape of the nose.
