After surgery, Dr. Kolstad does not simply ask his patients to return a year later for a final examination. He actively monitors and reshapes the nose during monthly follow-up visits until the final results are achieved. If the nose remains too swollen, he may use a dilute steroid treatment to help contour the nasal tip. Rhinoplasty scars can also be improved with CO₂ laser treatments.
