This patient was concerned with nasal deviation. She had trouble breathing through her nose due to bilateral nasal obstruction. She was also concerned with the appearance of her crooked bridge and drooping nasal tip.
Straightening a crooked bridge is a challenging procedure and requires a surgeon with extensive training and expertise. Dr. Kolstad performed an extracorporeal septoplasty, which involves the removal, reconstruction, and re-implantation of the patient’s septum to straighten her prominent deviation and improve her breathing. Spreader and strut grafts were constructed to provide support and stabilization to the nose. Dr. Kolstad performed a conservative cephalic trim and nasal tip grafting to lift and refine the tip of her nose. Complex bone remodeling was performed to re-align her nasal bones.
